Our new vinothek, which awaits your visit to taste some of our wines, has been named as one of the top 50 vinotheks in Germany by the German Wine Institute.
You will find a building having an exceptional architecture and a natural atmosphere.
´No sharp edges` was the guideline given to the architect Marco Hoffmann from Wittlich. He realised this idea splendidly. The result is an extraordinary building hovering above the ancient vaulted wine cellar. The drop-shaped building hides ist special interior using 6.3 metres high wooden slats of oiled oak beams. On passing through this structure of beams, you reach our sales room with counter, wooden benches and photos illuminated behind glass. The interior plater is made of clay and reed, which makes the walls look individually structured and improves the room`s climate and acoustics.
The filigree staircase, made from oak and rusty steel, leads to the light-filled upper floor with seating for cosy wine tastings and presentations.
Upon opening a specially designed folding door, the terrace and inner floor combine to form an open space from which you have a lovely view over our vineyards in the Klüsserather Bruderschaft, together with the soft scenic hills of the surrounding countryside. This view is also without any ´sharp edges`.
